A multi-media interactive theatre piece that explores the question, "What does it mean to be an American?"

Drawn from videotaped discussions with local students and community members, The American Project incorporates live performance, video, original music, poetry and interaction between actors and audience. We look at who we are, where we came from and how we see ourselves as part of the American story. We examine the 1st Amendment, freedom of speech, our rights and responsibilities as Americans and how essential it is today to have a sense of our place in the world.

Audiences will be asked to complete a questionnaire prior to the performance and information captured from each groups answers will be incorporated into the performance and classroom workshops.
