In Truth or Consequences New Mexico, the lives of Walter, a Home Depot clerk from Youngstown, Ohio and Carlotta, an illegal immigrant from Cuba, crash into each other. A story of identity, immigration, the aftermath of violence and the healing power of human compassion.

One man's musical journey begins as he leaves his once idyllic Midwestern life in search of his runaway wife. Along the way he meets toughs, tarts, spinsters and psychos only to discover that nothing is ever lost and none of us is truly alone.
