Luna Stage, soon to be a stellar centerpiece of the emerging Valley Arts District in Orange and West Orange, NJ, will officially open in fall 2010 with a full schedule of plays and performances.
To preview our upcoming attractions, we invite you to join us at our Dedication & Celebration Weekend on May 15 and 16, 2010, in our new home at 555 Valley Road, West Orange.
Saturday, May 15
Open House and Official Dedication – 5 p.m.
Luna Stage opens its doors to the public for the very first time at its new home in West Orange!
- Open-house tour of the new theatre spaces
- Official ribbon-cutting dedication
- Unveiling of an original mural on the exterior of our new building.
(NOTE: In case of rain, the dedication and ribbon-cutting will be moved to Sunday, May 16 at 5 p.m.)
Stories and Songs Performance – May 15, 2010 at 7:00 p.m.
Luna Stage’s very first public performance in our new space! “Stories and Songs” will feature a sneak peak of the new season. Join us for a pre-show reception at 7 p.m. and then enjoy:
- Script-in-hand performances of scenes from the first four plays of the season
- Musical interludes reflecting our richly diverse Valley community

Sunday, May 16
Luna Stage Performance Showcase – Noon to 3 p.m.
We continue our festive weekend with a showcase of special performance events in the new theatre space, offering you a glimpse of the multi-faceted programming soon to come at Luna!
Specific events are still being planned, but under consideration are a mini-performance of The Wizard of Oz by Luna’s Creative Drama students, a comedy-improvisation workshop, a drop-in rehearsal, an open-mic performance, literature readings and an indie music presentation. Details will be posted here very soon.
