1980's pop culture, a Jewish sounding Black mother and fear of the "N's" is where our young hero searches for the truth... Can she be a hero in the skin and gender she's in? She begs God to make her a white boy hero like, Rocky, Superman and/or Luke Skywalker. Does God listen? Or does her white boy hero persona conMnue to be threatened by the reality that she is destned to be what she really is, and her worse nightmare, a big Black gay woman!? As WAH grows into and out of herself she shares her tumultuous journey of becoming... we share in the humbling and triumphant realization of being a non-White, White America Hero.
