Facing the blank page can be daunting. Whether you've written a pile of plays, or you're contemplating your very first one, or writing a play has always been on your bucket list; there are no two ways about it. First drafts are hard! But there are practical tools that we can enlist to unlock your creativity, turn off your inner editor, and demystify the process of breaking story. Through writing exercises, practical guidance from a professional theater writer who has seen many first drafts through to their "final" product, and most especially community, this course will provide structure and guidance from standing on the blank white precipice to the satisfaction of writing the most satisfying phrase in the English language: END OF PLAY.
