We Don't Have Enough Sugar For the Public

Developed and Directed by Jane Mandel

Woven from the personal stories of community residents and from material generated by the company of artists, this unique project is a theatrical exploration of racism and how it affects our daily lives.

Starring: Talela Aldridge, Harry Patrick Christian, Godfrey L. Simmons, Jr., and Mona Hennessy.

Video: Carrie Allen McCray (Social worker, civil rights worker, writer, poet, grew up in Montclair), Edna Isler (Teacher, Community and civil rights activist, resident of Montclair), Oliver Lake (Composer and Saxophonist, Resident of Montclair), Joe Greene (Former President, Montclair NAACP, community and civil rights activist, Montclair Resident), Hortense Tate (Teacher, early YWCA leader, community worker, resident of Montclair), Hanif (High School Student, Queens, NY), Mount Hebron Students (1995 - 8th Graders), and Zoe English (Poet, novelist, entrepreneur, Montclair Resident).
