Scene Study for Adults
Whether you are new to acting, or an experienced student looking to deepen your practice, this course will sharpen your instrument and enhance your process. We will begin by focusing on vocal and physical exercise, games, and improvisation, before moving into script analysis and scene study. Our kinetic, impulse driven approach will help you cultivate an acting practice that allows you to work from a place of grounded spontaneity and natural responsiveness.
Mondays 6:30pm - 8:30pm | October 6 - November 24
Instructor: Natasha Warner
Playback Theatre for Adults
Come learn a powerful improvisational technique called Playback Theater! Playback Theater is a community building project that combines storytelling and improvisational theater, in which audience members are invited to share their own stories and see them enacted or “played back” by actors.
In this course, we will learn how to use Playback to inspire understanding, elevate underrpresented stories, and build community. In our culminating performance, we will invite an audience to share their stories and play them back on the spot!
Thursdays 5:30pm-7pm | Sept. 18 - Nov. 6
Instructors: Laura Hoffman, Elaine Molinaro
