Classes for Adults

Adult Scene Study I

Whether you are new to acting, or an experienced student looking to deepen your practice, this course will sharpen your instrument and enhance your process. We will begin by focusing on vocal and physical exercise, games, and improvisation, before moving into script analysis and scene study. Our kinetic, impulse driven approach will help you cultivate an acting practice that allows you to work from a place of grounded spontaneity and natural responsiveness.

Wednesdays 6:30-8:30pm | June 18 - August 20*

*No class 7/2 or 7/30

Instructor: Natasha Warner

Adult Scene Study II

Scene Study II is open to students who have previously taken Natasha’s Adult Scene Study class. In Scene Study II, classwork will be divided between exercises to free the body, voice, and imagination; long form improvisation; and a deep dive into text analysis and scenework. In this course students can expect more classtime devoted to rehearsing scenes, and more solo exploration in front of the class. Scenes will be assigned earlier in the course with the expectation that actors present a more fully realized interpretation of their scene by the final showing. Students are welcome to invite friends and family to the final class for showings.

Mondays 6:30-8:30pm | June 23 - August 18*

*No class 7/28
