Scene Study for Adults
Whether you are new to acting, or an experienced student looking to deepen your practice, this course will sharpen your instrument and enhance your process. We will begin by focusing on vocal and physical exercise, games, and improvisation, before moving into script analysis and scene study. Our kinetic, impulse driven approach will help you cultivate an acting practice that allows you to work from a place of grounded spontaneity and natural responsiveness.
Thursdays 6:30PM - 8:30PM | January 15 - March 5

Storytelling for Adults
Everyone has a story! What's yours? In this immersive storytelling class, Liz Samuel, of Montclair Story Salon, will guide students in writing and presenting their stories in engaging and entertaining ways. We’ll kick it off with improvisation exercises to spark ideas, use creative prompts to shape narratives, and develop full stories (5-8 mins in length) ready for performance. Writers are welcome to bring pieces they’ve already begun, and Liz will help bring them to life on their feet or if you’re not sure where to start, she’ll lead you there step by step. Whether you're a seasoned storyteller or just beginning, this class is for you!
Tuesdays 7:00PM - 8:30PM | January 13 - March 3
